From Maylands, this week's ride heads south-east on flat roads through Belmont, Kewdale and Wattle Grove, then it's a steep pinch up Crystal Brook Road to Lesmurdie. We'll regroup and catch our breath at the top where we turn off Welshpool Rd onto Gladys Rd. From there it's around the edge of the escarpment and a gradual climb up to Kalamunda.
